What are the clinic office hours?

Elizabeth consults Wednesdays, Thursday and every second Saturday from 9am-5pm. Our office is also open every Saturday (9am-5pm) and Tuesday (9am-3pm) for general enquiries.

How do we re-order supplements and herbs that we’ve bee prescribed between consults? 

Keeping track of your herb and supplement supplies is important to ensure you sustain therapeutic dosages of these prescriptions. If you run out of supplies between consults, you can order these via email, phone or SMS.

Once your order has been prepared we will send you an SMS and a suggested time for pick-up.

You can also request postal delivery, which will incur a postage fee (this varies with order weight and size). When ordering supplies, please let our receptionist know whether you would like to pick-up your order or have it sent to you.

Please note:

    • All postal orders must be paid for before they are mailed out.
    • Pick-up orders can be pre-paid or paid for on collection.
    • For guaranteed next day delivery (via express post), postal orders must be received by 12pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.
    • Orders received after 3pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays may be processed the following working day.

In early 2018 will also be launching our patient-only online portal for the re-ordering of these prescriptions. If you are a current patient you can sign-up today and we’ll let you know as soon as this service is available.

What do we do if we have a question between consults?

What will be my doctors involvement? 

Elizabeth works closely with GPs and specialists as necessary to ensure best practice in the holistic management or treatment of your condition.

GPs will be referred to for most tests required as well as for referrals for specialist appointments.

If you are also working with complimentary therapists or personal trainers please let Elizabeth know.

What do I do if I forget to take prescribed supplements or herbs? 

It is important to stick to your herb and supplement timetable, however we realise that nothing is full-proof and from time-to-time you may forget or be unable to take a dose of your prescriptions.

Whilst supplements and herbs vary in prescribed daily doses, it is generally ok to miss a dose and continue taking as normal – just make a note of this and let Elizabeth know at your next appointment.

What should I do if I have an allergic reaction to a herb or supplement?

Allergic reactions and other adverse reactions to herbal remedies and supplements are rare. If you believe this is happening cease all therapies.

In the case of anaphylaxis or a severe allergic reaction contact emergency services immediately.

In the case of mild reactions, if symptoms persist after ceasing therapy, contact your GP.

In both cases please also notify Elizabeth of these reactions.

Preconception Programme FAQs

What will be discussed in our first and second consultations? 

The first and second consults are longer consult – the first is 1.5 hours and the second is 1 hour. This includes patient education and a deep-dive into each partner’s familial history, past and current health concerns and a review of relevant reports and medical records to ascertain current fertility status.

Elizabeth will also note any additional preconception tests required along with a supplement and herbal regime. This will be recorded in the starter pack we provide to our fertility patients (this can also be downloaded via the patient online portal)

From time-to-time we also offer as a seminar to cover the educational aspects of this first step of the programme followed within two weeks by a private one-on-one session to prevent long waitlists accumulating for couples wanting to begin Elizabeth’s programme.

What do we bring to our first consult? 

Please bring any existing relevant reports and results that you and your partner have. This could include:

  • Ultrasound reports
  • Sperm analysis
  • Gynaecological surgery history
  • List of medications and supplements you are currently taking
  • Blood test results from the last 12-18 months
  • Latest pap smear results
Why do both of us need to attend these consults? 

Our preconception program is about working together to become more aware of your body and health so that we can improve your fertility for the healthy development and growth of your baby during pregnancy.

This can include identifying underlying issues that are contributing to suboptimal reproductive health or infertility.

As will be explained in the first step of this programme, even when there is a known issue with one partner – it is important that we take a close look at potential underlying factors that are contributing to their fertility issues as a couple.

Once these issues are uncovered, Elizabeth will discuss how often she will need to see either partner as sometimes it may only be necessary to come as a couple every second visit, or a series of single consults may be recommended.
